How we protect your privacy

The hotline follows strict guidelines to ensure your information stays private. Everything you tell us is confidential, as much as the law allows.

You don’t have to give us your name or any other details about your situation if you don’t want to. Calls to the hotline are not recorded. We do not share any personal information without your consent — even with the police or other service providers — unless there is a legal duty to report. We won’t confirm that you have called us unless you give us your permission, or we’re required to by law.

Our duty to report

Please be aware that in some situations, we are legally required to report to law enforcement or child protection services, even without your consent. Those cases include:

Suspected abuse or neglect of a child

A child is being trafficked

The trafficker is a child

There is an imminent risk of harm or danger to you or someone
