Canadian Human Trafficking Hotline Web Chat
If you are in an emergency situation, please contact 911 to receive immediate assistance.
As with Hotline calls, chats through our website are confidential and available 24/7. You may choose to disclose as much or as little information as you want during the chat with the Hotline Response Advocate (HRA). If you wish to remain anonymous, or want to decline to provide information, simply inform the HRA of this during the chat.
Please note that we have a duty to report to the appropriate authorities if someone is in imminent danger or if a minor is at risk.
On a daily basis our chat volumes fluctuate and there may be times when we are unable to respond to your chat request due to capacity. If you send a chat request to us and do not receive a response within 5 minutes, please send another chat request or consider calling the 24/7 Hotline at 1-833-900-1010 to talk to one of our HRAs in person.
Your safety is important to us so please consider your situation before engaging in a chat conversation with one of our HRAs. Once the chat has started and at any time during the chat, if the HRA does not receive a response from you within 5 minutes of a chat message sent to you, the chat will end as a safety precaution. If this occurs, you are welcome to initiate another chat to continue the conversation if it is safe for you to do so.
Please note, if you navigate away from this page at any time during the conversation, you will lose the chat and will need to initiate a new one.
